Last year was tough! I had to many things on my plate for school for the Princess! She finished Kindergarten, but we struggled and then I supplemented stuff. Which is fine! It is only Kindergarten. However, this year, I am changing things completely which suits us perfectly! :) I have in the years past looked at Heart of Dakota online and only dreamed of doing it with her, well, this year we started it! We are currently finishing the 1st week, but that is ok, because we are doing it at half speed till September. She is loving the activities. We are doing Beyond His Little Hearts to Heaven. I am please with what I see so far! We are currently fitting school in when the Prince takes his naps, but I know that will not happen for much longer, so we are going to be doing things with him that he can do on his own. I have a few things here that will be for him to do for school. He is interested in puzzles and then he likes things that move, so I am looking into getting some cars for him and that will keep him busy, then as he gets older we will add more and more items! I will begin to post pictures as we do school.
We have been working on a poem and she loves that. Today she drew a storm and a clearing in the storm. She likes the Copywork as well, so I am thrilled! So much easier than last time.
Also, she likes the story we are reading it is about Gladys Aylward, we are having good discussion about her and her struggles that she has. Gladys is a Missionary from England in China during the 1930s. They had some rough times.
My Prince is almost 18 months and doing great!
